My AM Fashion Rescue

It's 3:01 am as I am sitting here typing this post. After many failed attempts of trying to make myself fall asleep, I decided to give up and start typing. Sometimes, I feel the best time for me to write is when it's completely silent and all I can hear is that one car driving by on the empty road and I wonder where that driver is heading at this time. Sleepless nights have been a part of my daily routine now. There are things in life that you plan out for yourself but unfortunately, sometimes those plans don't work out according to you. Such is life, I have learnt, or should I say, I am still learning. Some things or events that occur in our lives, we can't control, but what we CAN control is how we challenge those obstacles and how we come out of it. That is exactly what I am trying to do, either come out of it stronger than ever before, or keep fighting and asking God; why me, why me? The latter part is the one that alot of people tend to do including myself, which is normal and natural in a sense. But unfortunately it's not going to take you anywhere. I have started to make goals again, trying to get my focus back, and by doing all this, first and foremost remembering God in everything.  I read somewhere that God gives those people challenges whom he loves the most. So feel honered and get yourself together. As I am typing this, I feel like this is a therapy session for myself. I don't know how many people out there are reading this and thinking "what the heck has this to do with fashion and why does this lady keep yapping on and on.."

And the answer to your question is that writing about fashion or working on assignments is my way of getting back on track. I perceive fashion as art. It has so many forms, shapes, colors and each piece is unique and special in its own way. Becoming a successful fashion buyer is a dream of mine, and I am slowly working towards attaining that dream. But the real dream is to make a change in people's lives. Hopefully, one day when I will have my own fashion empire with the sister ofcourse! ;) (InshAllah) = Godwilling, I will have a chance to travel the world and do charity. I believe everyone has a calling in this world, some might achieve it faster or earlier than others, but it will come to you with time . Let's hope and pray that this journey will take you and I to our destination. :)
Enjoy these beautiful photographs...try to enjoy the smaller things in life.

“Fashion is not something that exists in dresses only. Fashion is in the sky, in the street, fashion has to do with ideas, the way we live, what is happening.”
"Fashion is architecture: it is a matter of proportions.”

This post reminded me of a quote by Mother Teresa: "I know God will not give me anything I can't handle. I just wish that He didn't trust me so much." :) Challenges are tough but one always emerges stronger. Love you girl!!!

I am so touched what you said! Your honesty about how you feel and sharing that is so inspiring. You just put yourself out there. And that kind of reminds me of the story of Malcolm X. His life and his struggles. His search for the truth. His openness. So many people I've met are searching to some kind of meaning in life. And sharing that journey is beautiful!

And I also agree that fashion is so much more then just a shallow picture or something. It's such a beautiful way to express your identity and how you feel.

Madiha you really inspire me! I always see u as such a positive person that brings up the good in people! You will definitely fulfill all your dreams! And then you'll be in OPRAH or Ellen (she's vegan btw) :)

I wish you lots of sleep. Maybe check youtube for some relaxing music and stay of the coffee!
And try some meditation! That helped me. I also suffered some sleepless nights. I could send you a 20 minute PM yoga. That detoxes and prepares your body for a good night sleep :)
